MEET OUR BARBERS

David

Owner/Master Barber

Originally hailing from Upstate New York in the picturesque Hudson Valley, David is deeply rooted in the timeless traditions of classic American barbers. With a steady hand and a keen eye, he has honed his craft since 2007, when he first embarked on this noble profession. In 2014, he embarked on his own undertaking, establishing a venerable barbershop that still flourishes to this day in the heart of New York. However, the call of new horizons beckoned, and in 2021, David, accompanied by his devoted family, sought fresh opportunities and found them in the vibrant city of Charleston. Here, at Broad Street Barber Shop, he specializes in delivering impeccable men’s tapered haircuts and luxurious hot towel shaves, ensuring that each client leaves feeling rejuvenated and refined.

Jen

Owner/Master Barber

Originally from the coastal state of Maine, Jen made the move to the charming city of Charleston in 2010 and promptly joined the team at Broad Street Barber Shop. She has been a licensed barber since 2005, honing her skills and expertise over the years. After dedicating 7 years to the shop, Jen took the momentous step of purchasing it in 2018. Recently, she and David have transitioned into co-ownership, affording her the opportunity to prioritize her family and personal time. When she's not tending to clients, Jen enjoys soaking up the sun at Folly Beach, attending live music events, and savoring quality moments with her loved ones.

Keturah

Keturah is a true Charleston native, having spent her entire life in this vibrant city. With 17 years of experience in the hair industry, she has honed her expertise, particularly in men's grooming. When she's not behind the barber chair, she enjoys leisurely strolls through local shops and cherishing moments with her three wonderful children.

Jocelyn

Jocelyn's journey initially began in Ohio, and she has called South Carolina home for the majority of her career, which commenced in 2008. Joining the team at Broad Street in 2015, she has found great fulfillment in her role as a barber. Aside from her professional pursuits, she takes pleasure in immersing herself in the outdoors and cherishing meaningful moments with her children.

Debbie

Trevis

Trevis Matthew has been honing his barbering skills for an impressive 25 years. It all began at the age of 16 in the US Virgin Islands, and by the time he was 20, he had relocated to New Jersey in pursuit of a cosmetology career. In 2014, he realized his dream by opening the beloved Classic Cuts Barbershop, which quickly became a cornerstone of the community. Seeking new opportunities, Trevis made the decision to start anew in Charleston in 2021, sadly leading to the closure of his cherished business in 2022. However, his dedication to his craft never wavered, and in 2023, he found a new home at Broad St. Barbershop where he continues to pursue his passion for barbering.
